Insightful Encounter with Elephants

The tour provided a straightforward introduction to the sanctuary and its residents, which made it easy enough to track. Close to Gentle Giants

Visiting the Ao Nang sanctuary offered a rare chance to be near elephants in a natural setting. The educational approach was evident, and we appreciated the no-riding policy. Though the start was somewhat dry, the hands-on feeding made for a memorable highlight.

Interacción respetuosa pero con espacio para mejorar

La experiencia en el santuario de Ao Nang fue emotiva, al poder participar en la preparación y alimentación de los elefantes. Se valora mucho el enfoque ético que evita la explotación de los animales. Aun así, percibí que la dinámica del tour a veces parecía un poco fragmentada y con oportunidades perdidas para profundizar en ciertos momentos.

Visite instructive et bien menée

L'excursion d'une demi-journée au sanctuaire d'éléphants d'Ao Nang nous a permis d'observer ces animaux dans un cadre respectueux, sans spectacle ni promenade. Le guide expliquait avec précision les habitudes des éléphants et leur histoire individuelle, ce qui rend l'expérience enrichissante et adaptée au temps disponible.

Learning through hands-on care

At first, the rhythm of the visit was a bit uneven, but soon we found our pace feeding the elephants and hearing their stories. It was clear the sanctuary prioritizes the animals' welfare above all, which made our involvement meaningful rather than performative. The guides' knowledge enriched the experience beyond just observation.
