We spent a delightful day at Weedan Palace, enjoying the blend of traditional Moroccan architecture and modern touches. The surroundings with palm trees and well-kept gardens created a nice backdrop, especially for our group who appreciated the spacious layout. The pool area invited several of us to relax under the parasols, yet the setting remained lively, which suited our mood well. Lunch was served à la carte and allowed us to regroup and share impressions. Though one aspect felt a bit staged compared to the rest, it did not detract from an otherwise engaging experience.

We set out early from Marrakech and the drive over the High Atlas Mountains was striking, though the winding road took some getting used to. The visit to Aït Ben Haddou was a highlight; the guide shared plenty of interesting history about the kasbah and its film connections. Lunch with a view of the kasbah was a good break before heading to Ouarzazate. The day was long but packed with unique sights that felt worth the effort.
